What Can I Do to Help My Child Stay Healthy?

Comments Off

We all know that children commonly get colds 6 to 10 times a year. We also know that the spread of germs can best be minimized by frequent and thorough handwashing. Teach your child how to wash his or her hands. Let them sing the ABC song TWO times through, scrubbing mightily. You’d be surprised how many children simply do not know HOW to wash. Help them, and help all of us.

If your child has one following 6 signs that he or she is too sick for school see the article - When to Stay Home from School at Womansday.com
1. Runny Nose, Coughing, Congestion
2. Sore Throat
3. Earache
4. Vomiting or Diarrhea
5. Rash
6. Eye Infection

Keeping the Children Safe

Comments Off

At Shadow Rock Preschool we are very diligent about keeping items locked up which can harm children. Every time licensing visits, they look carefully at what is on the counter and what is in unlocked cupboards. We know how quickly children can get into bottles and tubes if found at their eye level.

That is why we wanted to share this article with you from the June, 2009 Raising Arizona Kids magazine.
